Veteran-Owned Certification (VOSB)
As a way of saying “thank you” to the men and women who have served in the American Armed Forces the U.S. Congress developed the Veteran Owned Business Certification Program. This certification is available for small businesses that are majority owned and managed by a veteran who is directly involved in the day-to-day operations.
In addition, the State of Minnesota also certifies Veteran Owned businesses through their Veteran-Owned Small Business Procurement Program.
Each of these certifications are designed to help veterans secure government contracts nationally and private work within their own communities. According to the National Veteran-Owned Business Association, 70% of Americans would prefer to purchase services and products from veteran-owned businesses.
Sierra Metals holds both the Federal and the Minnesota State Veteran-Owned Small Business Certifications.
